Please join us June 16-20, 2025 at The Elks Camp Barrett (1001 Chesterfield Rd, Annapolis, MD 21401). Registration will open on Black Friday. For more information, including early bird pricing click HEREThis affords us the opportunity of a new "camp-like" venue and new program offerings, including swimming. We are excited for 2025 and hope you will join us as we take sail on this new adventure.Registration will open on Black Friday. For more information, including early bird pricing click HEREThe Campers are all Scouts range in age from five to eleven years old. You must be a scout to attend or volunteer as a Youth Aide. Summer Camp at Summit Bechtel! - Confirmed!
Our registration is confirmed at Summit Bechtel for summer camp 2025 from Sunday, June 22 to Saturday, June 28! Our troop will be going to THE National Scout Summer Camp at Summit Bechtel in West Virginia this summer! After a few years away, Troop 115's PLC was excited to have the opportunity to attend again and selected it for our 2025 camp. I went to this summer camp my son's first two years in the troop, and I can tell you, it is an AMAZING experience. They have a top-notch merit badge program, a beautiful setting, and an abundance of "down time" activities, including the "BIG ZIP" (now renamed to "Alexander’s Eagle Flight"), skateboarding, a top-notch rock climbing wall, shooting ranges, and much much more (note, some activities may incur additional costs). For more information about Summit Bechtel summer camp, please follow these links: https://www.summitbsa.org/scout-camp/ and www.summitbsa.org/wp-c.....dfFor brief promotional video, please follow these links: https://youtu.be/6gnizmVH5UA and https://youtu.be/87wqrTbBNg8As it can be difficult to get a spot at Summit Bechtel for summer camp reserved, they request payment further in advance than most of the camps we go to. As of now, we have reserved 25 spots for Scouts and 5 for adults (we would really like a higher adult ratio, though). The troop is unable to cover the deposits for attendees, so to meet these deadlines, we need two $225 payments from those wishing to attend: The first payment is due Wednesday, February 12, and the second payment is due Wednesday, March 12. Please also remember to RSVP in Troop Track ASAP. If you do not know how to RSVP in troop track, please reach out to me at brianscruggs.bsa@gmail.com. If you will have difficulty making the payments by the deadline(s), please reach out and let me know. There may be camperships available through The Summit or elsewhere that we can get you connected with.If you wish to pay by Venmo and need instructions on how to do so, please see the following document (you may need to be logged into TroopTrack to access this document): https://styles.trooptrack.com/troop_documents/65735/document/original/VENMO_and_ScoutAccounts2022.pdf.There may be additional costs related to transportation, depending on the method of transport we choose (if we need to rent vans or charter a bus), but if so, those will be announced at a later date once we know how many Scouts and adults are attending.Adults, please RSVP if you will be attending. Since we will be so far from home and Summit is such a big camp, we need plenty of adults to attend. In the past, the committee paid at least a portion of the adult fees for attending camp at Becthel. The amount, if any, for this year, has not been set. Adults, please do not pay a deposit yet until further notice. Jun 22 6:30 to Jun 28 17:30 |
